AC blowing warm air, leaking water or refusing to start? We find the cause, explain the repair and confirm the price before work begins. Tell us what changed, and we’ll help you take the next step.
A clear first step
One system at a confirmed local address during Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–5 p.m. Eastern. We explain the finding and quote any repair or additional diagnostic work before you approve it.

These signs can have more than one cause. Testing helps identify the work your system needs.
The system runs, but rooms stay warm or comfort varies across the property.
Little air reaches the registers, airflow changes or the indoor fan is not moving air correctly.
The equipment starts and stops repeatedly or cannot complete a normal cooling cycle.
Moisture appears near the indoor equipment, the drain backs up or ice forms where it should not.
A new electrical, mechanical or airflow symptom appears during operation.
The thermostat calls for cooling but the indoor or outdoor equipment does not respond normally.
What a Proven visit includes
The exact checks depend on the system and concern. The operating discipline stays consistent from arrival through closeout.
Confirm the thermostat call, customer concern and starting condition.
Check electrical supply, safeties and relevant operating components.
Evaluate airflow and the condition of the indoor and outdoor equipment.
Take the readings required to support the diagnosis.
Explain the verified finding and available next steps before repair work begins.
Run the system after approved work and document the final operating condition.
A decision you can understand
We separate the confirmed failure from observations that may need future attention. That distinction keeps an immediate repair from turning into a list of unsupported possibilities.
If replacement deserves consideration, we explain why—using system condition, repair history, comfort performance and ownership cost—not a blanket age rule or a pressure deadline.

Measured before recommended
Operating measurements help separate a verified system condition from a guess. Proven Comfort uses the checks appropriate to the equipment and concern, then explains what the collected evidence means for the customer.

A running fan does not prove the system is cooling properly. Restricted airflow, a dirty coil, an outdoor-unit fault or a refrigerant problem can cause similar symptoms. Check that the thermostat is set to Cool, the setting is below room temperature, and accessible supply and return openings are not blocked. If you see ice or active leaking, switch cooling off from a dry, safely accessible thermostat and arrange service. Leave electrical and refrigerant checks to a qualified technician. Tell us when the problem started and which rooms are affected when requesting your diagnostic.

Cooling produces condensation, but it should drain through the intended path. A blocked condensate drain can cause water damage; water can also appear as a frozen coil thaws. If water is actively escaping, stop cooling from a dry, safely accessible thermostat and call for guidance. Avoid wet electrical equipment. Tell us where the water is, whether ice is visible and whether the system has stopped. The diagnostic should establish why the water escaped before corrective work is recommended.

Ice can form when airflow is restricted or a refrigerant-side problem makes the coil too cold. Ice alone does not prove the system needs refrigerant. Turn cooling off and arrange a diagnosis. Do not repeatedly restart a frozen system, chip ice away or apply heat. Thawing may restore airflow temporarily without correcting the cause. Mention weak airflow, water or previous freezing when requesting service so we can assess the concern.

We start with your concern, the equipment involved and the agreed visit scope. We check the relevant controls, operating components and airflow, then take the measurements needed to support a finding. You receive an explanation of what was confirmed, what remains uncertain and the available next steps. Repair work has a separate price and requires approval. After approved work, we check operation and document the result as conditions allow. Confirm the address, system count, starting scope and applicable price before booking.
